| Windhorse Centre's Location |
|
Windhorse Centre is located at Lothlorien Farm, Salt Spring Island, nestled
in the foothills of sacred Mount Tuam. Mount Tuam has always been sacred
to the local Coast Salish people. In addition it was seen as being a power
centre by a Buddhist Lama, who chose its summit for a Tibetan Buddhist monastery.
Lothlorien Farm consists of 35 acres of forest, pasture and lavender fields
with views out over the southern Gulf Islands. The land of Lothlorien Farm
is peppered with quartz crystal and exudes an aura of tranquility. The word
Lothlorien comes from the home of the Elfin people in Tolkien's "Lord
of the Rings" and is a place where time has no time and visitors feel
healed just by being there. In addition to being home to Windhorse Centre,
Lothlorien is also home to Sacred Mountain Lavender, a boutique lavender
farm producing organically grown lavender plants. Sacred Mountain Lavender
creates high quality culinary and spa products and therapeutic essential
oil. Please visit www.sacredmountainlavender.com.
